CePRA Journal CFP

CePRA Journal is an online, open access, peer-reviewed journal for practice research published by The Centre for Practice Research in the Arts (CePRA) at the University of Leeds, UK.
The journal is currently seeking contributions for its fourth issue, entitled
Experiments in Feeling.
Deadline: Friday 06th December 2024. Submission link here.
The publication invites submissions of practice research from postgraduate students, researchers, and staff across the University of Leeds. We encourage a wide array of submission formats, which may include image, video, audio, or text. Submissions may be of any size and duration and can address single or multiple themes. Works-in-progress and collaborative projects are welcome. Submissions should evidence the practice and include an abstract of 50–300 words.
As a way of framing the call, we offer a citation from a relevant field of practice-led inquiry. These words are intended as a prompt to begin thinking about how you and your practice might respond to our call; it is not necessary to address these words directly unless you wish to do so. The citation for issue #4 comes from Lola Olufemi’s
Experiments in Imagining Otherwise:
“Here is my method: above all, feeling! I aim, through experiments in feeling, to reveal and destroy what it is that keeps us here, what it is that stops us from deciding to leave even as the cinders mix with our hair, the smoke corrupts our lungs, the flames engulf the people we love. Only when we know this can we activate the bond of the otherwise and turn back to meet it” (Olufemi 2021, p8)
Submissions from individuals whose identities are often underrepresented in practice research communities are actively encouraged.
All best,
