Intangible Modalities Symposium
We invite staff and students to attend the Intangible Modalities Symposium which is being convened by Jay Needham, editor of Resonance: The Journal of Sound and Culture (University of California Press), a prominent journal for Sound Studies. Jay will be visiting the UK this November on a research sabbatical.
This event will bring Jay and several of his Resonance editorial board colleagues together for an afternoon symposium to discuss current themes with Leeds researchers (and beyond). The event is hosted by CePRA (Centre for Practice Research in the Arts). Jay will be joined by five colleagues based in UK/Ireland in a unique gathering. Contributors will present a range of talks, provocations, interactive workshops, and discussions, with plenty of time for networking. The event will culminate in a panel discussion to propose key themes for a future AHRC network.
- Jay Needham: Southern Illinois University Carbondale
- Christopher Haworth: University of Birmingham
- Stephen Roddy: University College Cork
- Salome Voegelin and Mark Peter Wright: CriSAP, LCC

While the key audience will be researchers, UG/TPG students are also invited: this will be encouraged and facilitated by an additional workshop on November 6th for UG/TPG students delivered by Louise K Wilson, Alex De Little, and Scott McLaughlin.
