The University of Leeds Annual Practice-led PhD Symposium, a joint initiative between the Schools of Design and Fine Art, History of Art & Cultural Studies, will be held this year on the 24th October 10.00 – 3.00 in Charles Thackrah SR 1/2 (1.01/1.02)
Practice-led PhD students from both schools will be presenting their latest projects.
We are delighted that Catrin Huber, Professor of Fine Art from the University of Newcastle, is acting as keynote and respondent. Her keynote paper will consider Expanded Interiors, her AHRC-funded interdisciplinary practice research project.
As a grand finale at 3.30, you are invited to School of Design PhD candidate Marielle Hehir’s exhibition On Shaky Ground: Land, Paint and Change in our new gallery, Space at Design (Clothworker’s Central building). Marielle will give a short talk, followed by a public opening.
This is a free event, but places are limited so please use Eventbrite to book your place
Thanks to the School of Design for funding the keynote and to FAHACS for providing refreshments.
