Conference Room, School of Music, 12 Cavendish Road, LS2 9JT

The next meeting of CePRA will be primarily to discuss the following objectives:

  • improving the centre's visibility, especially among postgraduate students.
  • improving the centre's effectiveness as a resource for practice-led/based research, and using CePRA as a hub to increase the potential for connection between researchers in this area.

This week's meeting (Wednesday 16 at 4pm) is a chance to discuss ideas of how we can best achieve the aims stated above. As a start, we're currently working on setting up a student symposium in each semester, to make students more aware of research across the faculty (and each other's research), as well as fostering some community. I'll be contacting all relevant students, but would appreciate if I could be directed to particularly active students within each school; students who may be interested in acting as a local contact to reach other students in the Schools. We would also like to propose a series of talks that cut across disciplines and provide something for all practice-led researchers; please suggest anyone you think might be suitable.

All those interested in practice-led research within PVAC (and beyond) are welcome to attend this meeting, particularly if you are interested in developing new ideas which may require funding from CePRA.

Light refreshments will be provided.
